A guy named J. Ducos is one of the top shooters at the Sacramento club and he posts here once in awhile. He shot a .338 RUM for at least a season out there and kicked ass with it. It was heavy and had a brake that was like what big artillery guns use. A sideways tube across the muzzle with the ends cut at about a 45 degree angle. I think it's performance with 250's was not far behind the Lapua.

Try a LimbSaver pad before you try the sorbothane. They workie better.
AK74........
I want one. Anybody have any opinions one who does the best work?
CETME.......
Have a guy offering to sell me one locally. I don't know crap about them. Price is reasonable based on price searches. Opinions needed. I've got a couple of boxes of G3 mags and nothing to insert them in :)
.338 Mag..........
Looks like his guy is serious about this 1500 yard range. He's playing EPA games now but he may be able to overcome the bullshit about runoff. Is an AR30 in 338 a reasonable piece to start with? I don't have 4 or 5 grand to put into a custom.
Lake City MG fired brass......
Finally at the end of prepping the first 1250. Jeeezz I hate assembly line work. Stuff sure does look perty after it's finished and polished up.
Litosan.........
Opinions on the new Sightron 8x32?
Freezing fish.........
Place fish in ziplock bag, fill with water, freeze. No freezer burn.
Foodsaver........
Don't get the cheap one........won't last. Don't reuse bags if you can afford not to. Bacteria build up in the creases of the bag and you can't get it out unless you soak in clorox.

Ar 30 is GTG ! You won't regret it...it's a good investment. Recoil is minimal. Trigger is good out of the box.. Only down side is you have to build your own cheek rest for it. Other than that I have no complaints about mine. PM me if you want some load data.

Calvin: Sorry for the driveby. Next time, I'll find time:)) I think i got your email after the trip, IIRC. Ooops. Your Ar30 been out past 500? Hows it shoot? A short review would be cool.
Bolt: Fiiled with water was the advice I got too, but I settled for soaked in water (for the same protections) to save space in my freezer. I was far more successful fishing my second year in Alaska, and even with smokers and shipping pounds to family--I had more than I could store at times. Getting skunked (that first year) turned me into a biologist and hydrographer--I attacked the salmon runs with fishery reports, tide charts and flow rates for various drainages; then scheduled myself to be where the fish are:) Holy shit...did that ever work out well. I became the battalion guide, and since there were more fish than hooks in any given space, I freely gave out my secrets. Heheh...4 months of darkness makes for some great research.
yeah...Alaska was on the short list for retirement right up until numba 3 and 4 were born:))

Hey man, my loss that I missed ya not yours.. You and yours are always welcome here ( so are the rest of ya'll, just pm me if your going to be in the Gettysburg pa/MD area).
I've shot my Ar 30 out to 2200 yds...environmental factors make it real problematic at that kind of range.. so I won't speak much of it other than the bullet goes that far.. As for shorter ranges ( 1000 to 1500+ )it simply picks up where the .308's leave off. At 1400 yards I can hit a 10 inch target reliably. Works for me. My load is rather mild and it gets to 1000 with 27-29 moa ( depending on how it feels that day) and goes to to 1400 with 50 or so moa. Deer die when hit with a 250 gameking. Recoil is seems to be a little less than my 308 hbv. Muzzle blast is substantial and not for those that refuse to wear hearing protection. Matter of fact I have left ranges where guys won't use hearing protection. To me, the blast is worse than a .50 bmg rifle.
Before anybody throw the bullshit flag about the recoil... I have a sako that does not have a brake on it.. It's nick name is the 30 second rifle... you had better do all your shooting in thiry seconds as that's about all your shoulder is going to take.. Armalite got the brake right on the Ar 30. Reloading for it is pretty simple and straight forward.
Odd side note: my hornady dies came with an export restriction notice. What's up with that ????

I loved it - the Feds loved it even more - it was a very expensive transgression :(

Guys,
Just got out of the hospital today. Spinal fusion damn well better be worth the pain. I feel like someone's been hacking on my spine with a handaxe or a machete. Where they did the fusion, it feels like someone used sheetmetal screws to attach a 3"X5" plate to a spot right below the middle of my back.
Click. This shit makes me sick. It's about time that our schools that teach civil rights start practicing them.
From what I've read, the guy with the full auto AR has been a known idiot for some time, but, then, on the other hand, if you listened only to the government, Randy Weaver was a danger to us all. Thank GOD he had neighbors that were ready, willing, and able(armed) to call bullshit on it.
In the Weaver case, the government probably knew they'd have a revolution on their hands if it was made pulic early on what they were pulling. I lived in that are a few years after it happened, and pretty much all of those folks could survive outdoors, a la "Red Dawn". If they'd have found out before it was too late to help, I doubt any of the feds would have lived to tell the tale.

I bought a Giraud a couple of years ago and wonder why I didn't do it sooner. You WILL get your monies' worth and Doug is a nice a guy as you will ever talk to.
Get a Hornady locking ring for your case head. Set the trim length and lock the ring. If you ever change calibers you can pull the head and not have to reset it each time. Also get a set of Skip's shims to adjust for same calibers with different head spaces. I have several 308's and several head space length's and used to have to try and adjust for each one. The locking ring and the shims have saved having to donate brass to set the trimmer up.
1500 yard range........
Well damn, the range at Louisburg didn't fly. He's going to build a 1200 yard range in Yanceyville, NC. Will fill you in on the details when he emails me. Guess I can stick with my 300mag. Or, look for a possible deal on a AR30. I have a gunsmith down the street that has designed a damn perty would stock to replace that piece of crap looking thing that comes on the AR30's. He's made stocks for 2 so far and I'm trying to get him to let me post pics.
PTR91 vs CETME.......
I've read up on both and it appears that the smart move would be the PTR. Sounds like even though CETME's are cheaper they tend to have more problems.

You just tipped me over into it. Giraud is next on the "bigger item" list. I guess I should be serious and get cartridge kits for all my bottleneck cartridges.
I'm fortunate that I haven't seen a need for custom headspace for my sticks. My two .308 bolt guns both wear match-grade barrels that were done at very different times by the same gunsmith with same model reamer. He apparently got the headspace setup very similar, which is just great for me. The other sticks are semi-autos or levers, which demand leaving a bit more tolerance in cartridge headspacing for function sake.

Anyway, to make a long, meandering story shorter: I shelved it "for later." If this thing is fun, maybe it is time to wring it out...The builder did put on the rail kit, too. With an aimpoint forward mounted, this could be a nice truck gun.
Man, 30-40 Krags have a smooooth bolt. Too bad Gander Mtn priced it "stupid." And, the new store is 3 times the size of the old--and they carry NO match ammo or match bullets:(( The olds store had a decent inventory, but I musta been one of the only two customers buying!
We have a bear local that is known as "Raegan's Bear." She spotted it while a friend was driving her home from a play date. The guy said it was big. Next door, another guy says he got within 35yds, and estimates a 600-plus boar. I would have no qualms about having my M4 and 28rds on tap if meeting R. bear...but I am suddenly thinking these 308s are looking worth the extra weight. 3S's?

If gunsmithing were "easy", there wouldn't be so many bad ones out there (based on talk around the bar).
The HK-91 design requires some special tools for pressing in the barrel, and probably a lot of other voodoo I'll never learn. I think they mostly just sell people that can't shoot guns they can't afford, and $300 worth of camo to wear while they do it. I think they make most of their money on clothes.
As for shooting "Raegan's bear" with your puny little popgun, I can't find the link, but sometime in the last year or so, some guy up in Alaska killed a POLAR BEAR with his M-4! It was breaking into his shed, or something. That old boy had some cajones, or was really stupid.

I also said I'd not had any first hand experience with the NF scopes but suspected that they would have the same problems.
Another guy said he's been using 3 NF scopes over the last three years with no lash problems and it would behoove those, meaning me, who have no experience with them not to ASS-U-ME that they have the same problems with Leupolds.

Found on leverguns.com :
I hate snakes ,,
New York State loves them, They even worry about snakes suffering from ""physiological stress"
Read following:
Mine Owner Found Guilty of Harming Rattlesnakes with Four-Foot Fence
Since 1990, Jay Montfort of Fishkill, New York has been trying to expand a gravel mine on his own land. But the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has been finding one excuse after another not to give Montfort the permission he needs to expand. Montfort believes "the motivation for such abusive tactics appears to be the desire of the state" and a local conservation group, Scenic Hudson, to acquire his property for a land trust.
For four years, the rationale was that Montfort's mine would threaten a den of rattlesnakes that dwell near the property. Rattlesnakes are protected under New York's endangered species law. DEC officials claim that a four-foot, wire-mesh fence Montfort built around his property to protect his employees was illegal because it reduced the snake's habitat by about 20% and would inflict "physiological stress" on the snakes. In early 1999, a New York state judge ruled that Montfort's fence did pose a threat to the snakes. Montfort will do as he has been doing for nine years now and appeal yet another unfavorable decision.

Scotland is entering the biological warfare arena. Surreptitiously. I stumbled on the fact, quite by accident, yesterday while on a day trip to John O'Groats in the north. While standing in a tourist shop, I came across a horrifying thing that had obviously been slipped in, possibly as a test run. Haggis in a tin, wrapped up as an ordinary gift.
JR, no wonder you're thinking of pulling up stakes. Beautiful country, nice people, and taxes out the ASS. I'm staying in a hostel, taking cheap walking tours and doing laundry in a coin-op laundromat, and I've gone through almost a thousand dollars in the last week. Well, mostly at the pub, but DAMN! Went looking for Nessie the other day, but realized that she's probably booked out to less expesive digs....like Lake Havasu or Tahoe. Woof. Still, it's worth it just to get back to the old roots. Boy, I sure felt disabled last night! About 6 p.m., we were under a tornado watch, which was pretty much centered on my house. I've pretty much know the drill. Back when I was in college, one of the professors had made several trips to Alaska. He commented that due to freight costs, the (native) locals shot an amazing amount of stuff with .22 Hornets & .222s. After all, if you pop seals or whatever in the head (If it gets in the hole in the ice, it's gone!), doesn't matter much what the popping was done with. This being waaaaaay back before the North Slope and other economic boosts, sounded plausable.
Now I'm not advocating hunting polars with an M4, but not all bears are 10 feet tall and 1200 lbs.

I am reminded of the 8-month long debate, at the GO and above level, about whether or not we really were fighting an insurgency or not. Franks, Rummy, Wolfowicz (or itz), Bremmer NEEDED it to be "just a criminal" problem to justify all that they had done in prep, planning and execution up to any given point before the surge. So, there was a cohort in denial, and a handful of those on the other side---saying "we screwed the pooch and ignited a disaffected former soldier and regime hacks' war"---guys like Wallace (almost fired during the march to baghdad for wanting to mop up the fadayeen in his rear areas), Patraeus, Pagone...many mid-level, close-to-the-front-edge types all were stating the obvious. We'd sit in these freakin' meetings, where insurgency tactics and counter tactics were discussed and acted on from end to end of that country, only to watch Rummy's press confernce later on saying how much "progress" had been made all day long. Somewhere, someone, changed the fucking slides! heheh.
Anyway, it was a cluster fuck from the get-go. I recall a post here in '02 about the "devil we know" and Iran; and GHWB's excellent reasons for NO|T taking Saddam out in 91. FWIW, it was NOT because of an Arab coalition's senisbilities...it was about regional power balances. Pwoell was absolutely right though---once we break it, we own it.
So, the bottom line is this---dumb or not, we are there and have a job to finish whether we like it, love it, hate it, or want rid of it. Doesn't make a bit of difference whatsoever what we think, feel, or want now---we broke it. Debating the merits ended at the LD.
And, what I find funny as hell is the thought (on the left) that our so-called allies will "like us again" if we pull out of Iraq. Here's a thought: A great big super power run amok and crushes the ruling authority of a country, and breaks some infrastructure up along the way. Then, in a fit of petulence, they decide they don't want to play 'fix-it-up" anymore and leave that country to disintigrate in anarchy. How exactly does that engender lasting friendships? How many of YOUR friends screw people over on an industrial scale??? It would be like your neighbor coming over to help you fight your house fire, only to walk away in the middle of the battle to "go get some sleep." In the morning, would you loan that guy the time of day??? Yeah....our standing in the world will go way up if we only fuck over an entire population....brilliant thought, Mr. Obama.
I should write a book. The confusion and second guessing might not make the cut with all the revision going on, so I oughta capture some of it in print (Bremmer is trying to shore up his rep by re-writing facts in evidence). Declassification will eventually paint Bremmer into history's cesspool, along with a few other we may think are OK now. The problem I have is much of what I know, or surmise, is entwined in stuff I cannot use--and i really don't know where unclass ends and classified begins:)) Its all mushed together in my noggin. The downside of a great memory...
Rant off...
The most popular round in alaska was .22 (overall). Only when you limit he survey to guides will major calibers show up:)) I read that somewhere up there...
Lindy: My theory on blackies was the 28 rounds in the mag oughta get me one in the head...while also being useful on yotes and other plinking chores. The local appearance of a unusually large black made me change calibers, though.

Write the book while it is still fresh in your mind. There is always the option of sorting out what can be released after it has been drafted. Classifications (and writers) don't live forever.
I read a fascinating account from the Korean war about the prep for the Inchon invasion which revealed why it went so well. It was discovered after the passing of the author by his wife.
http://www.amazon.com/Secrets-Inchon-Eugene-Franklin-Clark/dp/0425190005/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1212875421&sr=8-9
If Korea is America's forgotten war, Eugene Franklin Clark is certainly one of that war's least-known heroes. The Secrets of Inchon is his first-person account--written in 1953 and long forgotten in a safety deposit box--of his terrifying fortnight on a small island in North Korean-occupied Inchon harbor. Douglas MacArthur's planned invasion was as fraught with peril as it was daring. The port, with 29-foot tides, was, at their ebb, protected by a mud-flat moat 6,000 yards wide in places. Without elaborate, accurate, first-hand information--which Clark was ordered to supply--about mines, fortifications, sea floor gradients, troop distribution, and other matters large and small, the operation (Clark likens it to a "fly deliberately planning to invade a spider's web") could easily have become "an American Dunkerque." Clark's reconnaissance included hand-to-hand gunfights, rugged interrogations, night forays in small junks, constant vigilance, exhaustingly long hours, and the cooperation of anti-Communist Koreans.

Today I shot the F-Class match at Butner, 3 1000 yard matches. According to my Kestral 4000 the first match was 88 degrees at 08:30, second match was 97 degrees at 10:45, third match was 103.2 degrees at 14:30. Humidity was hovering between 50% and 60% depending on which radio station you were listening to. My scores reflect how bad the heat index was. I drank over a gallon of water, a quart of Gator Aid and 3 sodas and couldn't keep up with the sweat loss. I gave up and decided to come home and not shoot tomorrow. If the damn aliens want to invade I'm gonna find an air conditioned bunker somewhere. Most of my construction projects for the past 9 months have been major inside renovations at the hospital. I have got just about heat tolerance this summer. Those poor Palma guys must be masochists with them damn heavy shooting coats.
I've turned into a heat wussy, Bolt out!

I clearly recall having to explain what Representatives and Senators were before my wifes daughters voted:(((( Several years back, I tried borrowing one of the kids math books for some quick trig to do some rough surveying and had to give up. The number of parents who actually show up on conference nights is minimal....many have no clue what's going on in the classroom.
I do believe that when the folks who work in the classrooms quit being "Teachers" and started being "Educators", we opened the expressway to Hell.
I can recall a discussion with a vice principal about younger zygote where my comment about something got a condescending reply of "Mr. Moore, WE'RE the professional educators." After a short silence, I asked her if she had any clue what I did for a living and when she shrugged, told her, in effect, to never, ever use either that tone of voice or attitude with me again. Come to think of it, that was the last time I ever spoke to her.

Rod,
We made out just fine, thanks for asking.
Living right between Haysville and Wichita, just west of I-35, we were right in the crosshairs. I'd just woken up when they told us to go to our 'fraidy holes.
Being as I just had spinal fusion a little over a week ago, bugging out was a little more complicated than I'm used to. We've pretty much got the drill down, but it's lot harder when you can't put your boots and pants one my yourself. Plus, my wife's a panicky person, and has panic attacks over little shit.
Our general drill is to grab the portable safe with handguns and meds in it, the soft cooler with snacks, beverages, flashlights, etc. in it, and some rain gear, then go across the street to the neighbor's storm shelter.
When my wife saw me straping on a gunbelt, she started to get lippy, but I shut her down. When we got across the street, I handed my neighbor the safe, and told him I brought extra supplies, "for looter hunting". Everyone seemed to appreciate that.
'Lito,
I'm 31, and went to public schools. About all they taught us about the civil war was that it was all about ending slavery, which, of course, was total bullshit.
Very little was ever said about Korea, and I only had one history teacher try to teach us about one of the world wars. He was so damn boring I keot trying to get him to kick me out of his class.
As a result, as an adult, I'm trying to teach myself quite a bit. I've considered going to college, but adult onset ADHD makes things quite a bit more difficult. That, and I'd have to fight the overwhelming urge to beat the shit out of liberal professors attemting to poison the future of America.

We the people get what we demand. If we leave it to the teachers, they'll do whatever is easiest and not worry too much about the consequences.....that's basic capitalism. If we don't like what our kids are being taught, we should all run for election to the school board and start the process of unscrewing the system...expect it to take decades and require many, many involved parents. Previous generations of parents have screwed things up royally and it's going to take a lot of undoing. IMO - one of the reasons the NRA is such a joke is it's failure to resist the liberalization of the education system. Guns are scary because a whole generation of citizens were taught that individualism is bad.
In the mean time, the fact that the education system is lacking simply means that we parents need to suck it up and make the difference. I bake Constitutional points into my fire service lectures to the newbs, basic conversation with peers and bedtime talks with my daughter...it's easy if you are little creative.

Absolutely. Parents are responsible for the education their children. Schools may or may not help. Sending them to the closest public school and hoping for the best is negligent.

Your comment got me to thinking-does anyone make a pump action .22 Hornet?
I think that'd be the cat's ass for a truck gun.
A cartridge that's about like a laser for coyotes, skinny and light enough to store about anywhere, light enough for an impromptu sprint over a hill for a better shot, in an action that's quick, handy, and damn near infallible, if ya just squirt it with a little WD-40 once a year or so.
I always thought my pump .22 was ugly, but the damn thing was infallible, and easy to pack, whether afoot, horseback, on a tractor, or in a pickup.
Didn't they chamber the Marlin levers in .22 Hornet?

There was a Springfield M6 Scout O/U survival gun that was a .22 Hornet over a .410 shotgun as well as some other combinations. I don't know when they were made.

Played with it some n 22 n 410. Its a pretty decent little rifle. Helped my Dad pick one up about a year ago or so. If someone were able to find one in 22 hornet that wouldn't be a bad little combination but I think I would lean more towards the Savage over under. Dad had one of those in 22/20 and I have 1 in 223/12 that is just a sweet little stick. I know they make them in several different combinations and I would bet that it would be worth looking into. I believe that its either a 24f or predator

As far as education goes... Its been going down hill since the Left started a couple decades ago using it as their propaganda machine... IMHO
I am working on an old/new project. I started in before I left but it got put on hold. I got bored a few days ago and started up on it again. Before I took off I had started rebuilding a stock for an M1a. I used some Quick steel to rebuild the grip into a more verticle grip and give it some contours that fit me vs the general public. After that I refinished it. This last week I broke it out again and dug out my box of Krylon. Put a decent base coat onto it and I am going to pick up the paint I want to use for the final coat this week. I don't know when I am going to be able to go harvest some weeds for the pattern I want to use but i should be able to get it sometime if I don't have to much come up at work... but we all know the best laid plans...
Other than that the only things I need to do is either get a swivel stud to mount onto the stock for my bipod or get a short section of picatiny and the swivel stud adapter so I can mount my harris onto it. and The final thing I need to get is the mounting screw for the scope mount that I am going to use.
I have a Leupy 3.5-10x tactical scope I am going to mount on it until I get around to picking up another NFO.
One of my friends went out this morning and put several rounds down range thru a 6.5 m4 upper. He told me that the first round down range shredded the x on the target at 100 yards.

I was gonna buy a prototype version with a skeleton stock(like a Sten) about a decade ago but deferred when discovered it was a NFA weapon(14" barrel) and didn't feel like ruining it by welding an extension on.
With a decent can, slightly shortened barrel and compact scope it would have made a nice covert toy, since it was small enough to fit in a Seagrams bag. S/F.....Ken M

I went ahead and ordered a new screw... and then ordered a couple spares just in case. LOL. Thats truly good advice buy now and take the time later, only problem is when you have more irons in the fire than you can financially either support or juggle... But thats the way of things depending on whats going on, as we all have experienced now and again.
As for an urban low visibility weapons bag... it depends on the weapon but you could definitely use one of the canvas crush/folding camp chair bags as a low vis folding AK carry bag. might get a funny look depending on where you were walking but over all most people would just dismiss it if they even noticed it in the first place. Hell you could carry it into any park and it wouldn't even get a second glance. hmm... I think I need to contact TAG and see about a new project :)
Anyways back to lurking and projecting...

"NEW JERSEY GENERAL ASSEMBLY PASSES GUN BAN . . . A bill (A2116) to ban firearms chambered in .50 caliber -- firearms which are commonly used by sportsmen for target shooting and collecting -- will no longer be heard in the New Jersey Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee, but rather has been moved to the Judiciary Committee where it is slated to be heard this Thursday, June 12. "Banning .50-caliber firearms is a major policy objective of the gun-control movement," said NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel Lawrence G. Keane. "These firearms are not used to commit crimes and are common among sportsmen all over the world. For legislators to assert otherwise is nothing more than fear mongering." NSSF is encouraging all sportsmen, firearms enthusiasts and shooters to contact members of the New Jersey General Assembly Judiciary Committee and their legislators, urging them to vote down this anti-gun legislation. .."

On carrying a rifle in pubic...
Not my idea, but worth consideration - an acquaintance who works executive protection uses a tennis bag to carry an M4-type rifle. The rifle has a magazine inserted and a hard box to catch the empties if he has to fire the rifle inside the bag. The box keeps the bag from jamming the rifle on ejection.
He works in Florida and no one seems to find it unusual.
FWIW.

After checking out the link provided (thanks BTW) I would have to say that I like the design better, just from looking at it. If I were going to be purchasing a mount I would give it serious consideration But The GDI is what we are using on the EBR and I would most likely go with it.(thanks for the link lindy) Since the one I have was a freebie I am going to run with it. If I find that I can't get it to print consistently I will most likely start looking at the mount first.
After that if it doesn't solve the issue I am going to talk to a guy Bravo was recommending last time we talked next time I am out in his area... hell I may just take it with me when I head out there and see what he has to say. worst case scenario he is going to tell me I need a different stick.
If anyone is doing some do it your self upgrades to stocks or anything like that a quick solution to putting bulk onto it is quick steel. It is found at most auto parts stores and is a definite must for the fix it box.
A couple of the irons in the fire is I am waiting to take delivery of a pair of Bohica Arms AR uppers. 1 in 50 BMG and another in .416 barrett. 1 is coming down here to the PRCA and the other (BMG) is going out to my folks place since it isn't "legal" here in the Peoples Republic. Such is life... hence the 416 barrett. Since I am going to have access to a couple of long distance ranges I am hoping to wring the 416's out some.
A couple months ago I was looking into either building or rebuilding a gun and rebarrelling it into a 338-06... Said project got put on hold when i started drooling over the 416 barrett... I figure I can always pick up another bolt action Savage and a new barrel... I probably won't be able to pick up the big bore BMG based guns and uppers for long...

1.) Selma Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - The Selma, Alabama events had no effect on your birth, as the Selma events were in 1965. (Google 'Obama Selma' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.)
2.) Father Was A Goat Herder - NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.
3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter - NOT EXACTLY, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments Kenya has ever had.
4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - NOT EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it using terrorism and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Oba ma, is Odinga's follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone. Check out the following link for verification of that....and for more.
Obama's cousin, Raila Odinga, in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia muslim law in place there. When Raila Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians' homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter… Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before and after the Kenya election process got started. Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the real truth.
5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - NOT EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn't allow her to have been one of 14 wives to 1 man.
6.) My Name is African Swahili - NOT EXACTLY, your name is Arabic and 'Baraka' (from which Barack came) means 'blessed' in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and a name normally given to a baby in Islamic families to denote that baby is intended and destined to be raised and trained as a Muslim, so is Obama.
Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya, his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro)
7.) I Never Practiced Islam - NOT EXACTLY, you practiced it daily at school, where you were registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until your wife made you change, so you could run for an American government office.
4-3-08 Article 'Obama was 'quite religious in islam'' http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=60559
8.) My School In Indonesia Was Christian - NOT EXACTLY, you were registered as Muslim there and got in trouble in Koranic Studies for making faces (check your own book).
February 28, 2008. Kristoff from the New York Times a year ago: Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them from memory with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it'll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as 'one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.' This is just one example of what Pamela is talking about when she says 'Obama's narrative is being altered, enhanced and manipulated to whitewash troubling facts.'
9.) I Was Fluent In Indonesian - NOT EXACTLY, not one teacher says you could speak the language.
10.) Because I Lived In Indonesia, I Have More Foreign Experience - NOT EXACTLY, you were there from the ages of 6 to 10, and couldn't even speak the language. What did you learn, how to study the Koran and watch cartoons.
11.) I Am Stronger On Foreign Affairs - NOT EXACTLY, except for Africa (surprise) and the Middle East (bigger surprise), you have never been anywhere else on the planet and thus have NO experience with our closest allies.
12.) I Blame My Early Drug Use On Ethnic Confusion - NOT EXACTLY, you were quite content in high school to be Barry Obama, no mention of Kenya and no mention of struggle to identify - your classmates said you were just fine.
13.) An Ebony Article Moved Me To Run For Office - NOT EXACTLY, Ebony has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist.

19.) I Was A Constitutional Lawyer - NOT EXACTLY, you were a senior lecturer ON LEAVE.
20.) Without Me, There Would Be No Ethics Bill - NOT EXACTLY, you didn't write it, introduce it, change it, or create it.
21) The Ethics Bill Was Hard To Pass - NOT EXACTLY, it took just 14 days from start to finish.
22.) I Wrote A Tough Nuclear Bill - NOT EXACTLY, your bill was rejected by your own party for its pandering and lack of all regulation - mainly because of your Nuclear donor, Exelon, from which David Axelrod came.
23.) I Have Released My State Records - NOT EXACTLY, as of March, 2008, state bills you sponsored or voted for have yet to be released, exposing all the special interests pork hidden within.
24.) I Took On The Asbestos Altgeld Gardens Mess - NOT EXACTLY, you were part of a large group of people who remedied Altgeld Gardens. You failed to mention anyone else but yourself in your books.
25.) My Economics Bill Will Help America - NOT EXACTLY, your 111 economic policies were just combined into a proposal which lost 99-0, and even YOU voted against your own bill.
26.) I Have Been A Bold Leader In Illinois - NOT EXACTLY, even your own supporters claim to have not seen BOLD action on your part.
27.) I Passed 26 Of My Own Bills In One Year - NOT EXACTLY, they were not YOUR bills, but rather handed to you, after their creation by a fellow Senator, to assist you in a future bid for higher office.
28.) No One on my campaign contacted Canada about NAFTA - NOT EXACTLY, the Candian Government issued the names and a memo of the conversation your campaign had with them.

The man has done NOTHING in the political world - even when he was "elected" to the senate, he didn't run against the incumbent - he got her disqualified on signature technicalities... he was the only democrat on the ballet in a democratic state… Obama has NEVER run against another person for office – he walked into the senate seat without ever stating what he was running for or what he stood for.
I can't believe that this country is soooooo desperate for candidates that we would run a man for president that has never accomplished anything political in his life, and hasn't finished one term in the senate.
I mean, I don't care WHAT party you are with, this is insane - he has never even been a mayor, never balanced a budget, never ran a shopping mart - he is an empty suit with a pretty face, and a political machine behind him - when he isn't reading from a prompter (speeches that someone else wrote) he stumbles over his words like a five year old in the class play – he can't make a cogent sentence on his own.
And with McCain's bumbling ineptitude, Obama will probably be the next president... with the puppet strings going back to the Chicago, and the Daily machine pulling the strings - a perfect time for a light skinned "negro" that speaks well.
Where are the Truman's, the Jack Kennedy's, the Roosevelt's, the Churchill's, the Reagan’s and the Thatcher’s... someone that has power and can make a sentence without help.
Jeez, I would even get Nixon back from the grave if I could, over this stupid bunch.
Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much.
From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.
After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan.
143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that.
In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more impressive than ever. At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride.
The next four years are going to be really bad, unless the real Obama gets exposed in the mainstream media (like that's gonna happen??)
Pass this around to everyone you know.

Blatantly stolen from another forum
This was also reposted on a shotgun site for members whose views and opinions caused them to be extirped and repressed from more uppity double gun sites. Over there I noted that as Obama was certainly 50% Irish (or Scots Irish as regards name) noting his largely Arab bloodlines could cause him to be called O'Hussein or McHussein. I am thinking of developing this into a flier or poster saying the election is McCain v. McHussein. A bad choice for everyone in a couple respects and a disaster if Boy Obama gets in. However the deepening stupidity of our higher elected reps and the corruption of the infantile news media causes me to feel that God is going to let us slit our own throats. By the way, Comrade Obama is saying gun registration at the Federal level (record keeping and access) would have stopped two killings in a venue where he had an appearance. He was scripted to say this by his World Controller handlers. By the way do get copies of "1984" and Brave New World. These are required reading in English or rhetoric classes. Written a while back but remarkably true and happening today. 1984 is a fifties era movie if I recall. But you'll never see it on TV. Too true.

I don't know if you are out and about or if you are just lurking in the shadows. If you are lurking and just kicking it would you do me a favor and PM me. I have a question for you offline.
Thanks bro
Morgue
my final thought on this one is a quote from a well known politician from years ago.
"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"

There was a real interesting article overseas about the reception he can expect in the sandbox area. Seems like since he was born into Islam (courtesy of his daddy) and has since become Christian (even if only to enhance his "identity"), he's considered an apostate. This places him lower than whale do-do in the Marianas Trench to believers. Who, if we can believe him..., is gonna convince the jihadists that...........ARRRGH, ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dearly hope the pols who secretly fear that the junior Senator from Chicago is the second coming of Mike Dukakis are right.

Two problems, really.
The first is the seemingly deep seated need for americans to be fed a nice, short sentence that summs things up--with little effort, little curiousity needed. This makes any charge that connects two or more dots useless as an argument. It just doesn't sink in. Obama can say whatever he wants about himself--people will just clap and want more.
Two, Obama is running opposite of every indicator in his entire life, and has allies willing to cover for him at every turn.
None of the little "disractions" (as he calls them, trying to make the issue the messenger rather than the message itself, successfully so far at that) will alter his trajectory as long as number one remains in effect. No islamic law read of his religion, no Rezko, No weathermen, no racist church affiliation, not even his own written words will filter past this mental block in the electorate---as long as the MSM gives him this pass on these things. |For the masses to see past his smooth delivery of rehearsed lines---it must be pounded into their heads. And i for one do not see any chance of this.
Politics of a more fun nature: Click. I have met a few AF-types whom I thought highly of, and many who I found useful at times. But, on the whole--I could do without the airfarce entirely. Marines, soldiers and swabbies will always trade barbs, bitch about each other, and generally proclaim their supremacy over the next; but the AF in the GWOT was an impediment at every turn. Tons of the friction comes from the 120-day rotation policy---nobody gets past incompetence on the learning curve before they move into indifference days away from going home. Deal with that a few times, and you wonder if they wanna be irrelevent. Heheh, attitude is everything, and knowing who else is on your team helps a bunch too. Everyone plays well together with one glaring exception. And, it is an institutional problem--not an "individual" problem. Gates just sent a message. Good for him. Now lets see if they are dumb enough to push back...

The only branch of the USAF that's been relevant in the current fight.
Now, I don't want to surrender air superiority to the Chicoms but the USAF has to understand that there's planes other than zoomies and that they need to pay less than $250mil per unit for them. S/F.....Ken M

Dad had one of the first Buck 110 folders to come out. He kept it shaving sharp and could skin a squirrel faster than anyone I have ever seen.
But he didn't like the sharp edges of the handle scales. He thought the knife too thick for pocket carry and didn't like the way it rubbed holes in his Levis; so he thinned it down and rounded the edges off on his belt sander.
Had a leather lanyard hanging out of his pocket so he could access it quick.
He worked as a process operator at a petro-chemical refinery and counted many dull hours away sharpening that knife and practicing getting it out of his pocket.
Wore the blade down thin from sharpening, using it.
We had family in El Cajon, California at the time and that was where the Buck factory was back then.
On a vacation visit, Dad went over and they put a brand new blade in for him.
Dad, my little brother (9yoa) and I later went down to La Jolla Beach.
Beautiful place. Seals resting on the rocks after swimming down from Alaska. Girls everywhere. (I was 15)
There is a large waterbreak/sea wall there and my brother and several other small kids were mimicking the seals sounds and just being kids. Not many seals in Texas.
I was down a ways ... heading back to my brother while gawking at the California cuties.
Some Berkley looking guy in a trench coat (in July) was close to the kids and told them to "Shut up and leave the seals alone, as they were tired from swimming".
The kids ignored him and kept on as little kids will do.
I noticed Dad started easing that way when assface told the kids to shut up.
Well, this cat walks up and grabs my brother by the nape of the neck and picks him up ... bad move.
He says " I told you to shut up and leave those seals alone"
He then set my little brother down (not so gently) and turned to walk away. When he did so, he turned around on the point of that shaving sharp Buck 110.
Dad had it out before the guy turned around and under his chin so fast the movement was barely visible.
My Dad's face was stone cold. I had never seen that look before ... nor have I seen it since.
Dad had this strange look on his face and he slowly leaned his head from side to side, staring right through the guy ... maniacal ... but with absolutely no emotion ... like he was deciding where to start.
You could see this guy's pulse in his throat.
After a few seconds, Dad lifted the guy's chin straight up with the point of the knife right on the point of the guy's jawline.
Then he told the guy.
"Mister if you touch my kid again ... I am going to cut you into little pieces and feed you to those goddamned seals"
Then he pushed the guy away with the point of the knife, leaving the knife pointed in the guy's face and a decent scratch on his neck as he did so.
The guy sprinted away.
Dad said "Let's go see what else we can get into kids" ... like it never even happened.
My Dad was killed two weeks ago in a car crash.
He fell asleep at the wheel coming home from seeing some friends, left the roadway, hit a tree and his car flipped upside down into the bayou and he drowned.
He's with my Mom now.
He died the way he lived. Over 200 Harleys at his funeral.
The Buck 110 is in my curio cabinet.
Godspeed Pop.
I miss you terribly.

SCOTUS had a weird ruling today. I guess POW and unlawful combatants just got a new status in this country--and this country alone, i might add. So, in keeping with the Geneva conventions and the Hague--we have little choice but to "off" every last asshat who shoots at us while dressed in any clothing other than the uniform of a state's military force.
This is no way to wage a war...man, this shit continues to piss me off. First, it was Kelo, now this. Wouldn't surprise me now if they just repeal the second entirely with that upcoming DC ruling.
